Sports fans in the UAE have been celebrating as beIn Sports channels came back on air over the weekend a little more than six weeks since being blocked.
etisalat subscribers have received text messages stating, "We would like to advise that starting 22 July 2017 the beIN package will be available to customers and normal charges will apply."
How long the channels continue to be active remains to be seen.
With the major European football leagues and in particular The English Premier League due to kick off next month, many football fans will be hoping the unblocking is permanent.
