As part of a fresh new initiative to beautify Dubai, mega-developer Nakheel has signed a deal with Brand Dubai, the creative arm of the government-run Dubai Media Office. The first flagship project has transformed the look of the underside of bridge leading to the East Crescent on Palm Jumeirah.
The pillars of the bridge have been made to look like tree trunks, topped with dense-looking foliage that covers the bottom of the bridge.
To support Brand Dubai’s #DubaiSpeakstoYou initiative, art projects will be implemented across the city with a long-term plan to transform Dubai into an open-air art museum. These projects aim to highlight various aspects of Dubai’s “rich diversity and pioneering spirit,” the Media Office said in a release.
Maitha Buhumaid, director of Brand Dubai, expressed her appreciation for Nakheel's contributions to the enhancement of Dubai's artistic and cultural scene. "Both the organisations bring significant capabilities to this partnership. By combining our strengths, we have a great opportunity to initiate art projects that enhance the artistic and cultural environment of Dubai."
