The UAE government has announced the public sector holiday for Eid Al Adha, giving government employees across the country a full week off to mark one of the most important occasions in the Islamic calendar.

According to the announcement, public sector workers will receive a paid holiday beginning on Monday, 25 May until Friday, 29 May. Normal working hours are expected to resume on Monday, 1 June.

Private sector holiday dates are expected to be confirmed separately, although they often closely match public sector announcements.

Eid Al Adha is celebrated annually by Muslims around the world and marks the spirit of sacrifice, prayer and charity. Across the UAE, the holiday is traditionally observed with family gatherings, community events and special prayers.
