Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has officially opened a new smart bus station at Mall of the Emirates as part of efforts to improve public transport services and passenger comfort across the city.
The modern station has been designed with smart technology and upgraded facilities to support Dubai’s growing number of public transport users. Commuters using the station can now benefit from air-conditioned waiting areas, digital information screens, smart ticketing services and improved accessibility for People of Determination.
Located next to one of Dubai’s busiest shopping and transport hubs, the new station is expected to make daily travel easier for residents, workers and tourists travelling between key areas of the city.
The RTA said the project supports Dubai’s wider smart mobility plans and aims to encourage more residents to use public transport by improving convenience and reducing waiting times.
Passengers will also have easier connections to nearby metro services and taxis facilities, helping create a smoother travel experience across Dubai.
The smart station forms part of several transport upgrades currently being introduced across the emirate to support population growth and future infrastructure demand.
