The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research announced that all public and private higher education institutions will resume in-person learning starting Monday, 20 April.
The ministry confirmed that resumption follows the completion of the necessary readiness and preparation plans, including preparedness of buildings and facilities, updating safety and security procedures, and strengthening the readiness of academic and administrative staff, thereby ensuring a safe and stable learning environment for students.
However, the ministry clarified that certain private higher education institutions will have the flexibility to implement hybrid and remote learning models when needed. This will be based on approved rules and under the supervision of local education authorities.
The ministry also stated that higher educational institutions will remain prepared to transition to alternative learning modes when needed, ensuring continuity of education with flexibility and smooth implementation.
The decision comes after authorities announced the resumption of in-person learning for all enroled children, students, educational staff, and administrative staff in public and private nurseries, kindergartens, and schools effective Monday, 20 April.
