Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) is celebrating its twentieth anniversary this year with a host of giveaways, discounts and fun events across the city. RTA was first established in 2005 and has overseen some of the most important infrastructural developments in Dubai, contributing to its well-deserved reputation as one of the most well connected cities in the world. This year, RTA has decided to give more love to the people who benefit from its services.
Residents and visitors can join the anniversary celebrations happening across the city this month and the next. Here’s what’s happening and when:
Tourist Photo Challenge
Visitors arriving at Dubai International Airport (DXB), until 1 November, can take part in a photo contest, while also receiving a welcome bag. Tourists can post a creative photo on Instagram within seven days of arrival and tag RTA to stand a chance to be featured on their pages.
Dubai Tram Giveaway
Until 2 November, tram users can win a UAE Entertainer 2026 membership booklet, which includes over 10,000 2-for-1 offers.
'Catch Gifts In 20 Seconds' Challenge
Head to Al Ghubaiba Bus Station between 9am and 11am or Insurance Market Metro Station between 11am and 1pm, on 1 November. Step inside the RTA20 booth and grab as many gifts as possible within 20 seconds. from electronics to chocolates and more.
Giant Photobooths
Strike a pose at RTA’s giant art frames at BurJuman Metro Station between 9am and 5pm on 1 November and get a digital copy of the photo.
'Balloons And Smiles' For Children
On 1 November, children can join cheerful giveaways at multiple locations including BurJuman Metro Station at 9am, Onpassive Metro Station at 10am, Sobha Realty Tram Station at 10am, Insurance Market Metro Station at 11am, and Umm Ramool Customer Happiness Centre at 11am.
