The countdown has begun for the seventh edition of Dubai Games, one of the city’s most anticipated team-based sporting events, taking place from 12 to 15 February, 2026.
Held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence of the UAE and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai, the event has become a flagship celebration of endurance, teamwork and community strength.
Organisers promise that the 2026 edition will bring enhanced challenges designed to test both physical and mental resilience. Participants will compete across five categories: Battle of the Government–Men, Battle of the Government–Women, Battle of the Community, Battle of the Cities, and Battle of the Juniors. The participants will face intense obstacles and a variety of challenges, leading up to the final showdown in the ultimate 'Battle of the Battles'.
Participation is open to men, women and children of all nationalities.
- Government category participants must show proof of employment with a government entity for at least three months.
- Community teams must consist of UAE residents aged 18 years old or above who also successfully complete a Dubai Games pre-qualification event.
- In the Cities category, each city will form a team of six. Three must be citizens of that city, while the remaining three may be either citizens or residents, with valid identification from the represented country.
- For the Juniors category, participants aged 10 to 13 years old will form teams of five members and two substitutes.
All participants must be in good health, free from recurring injuries, and physically capable of engaging in strenuous athletic activities for extended periods.
