The UAE has a new millionaire, and a record-breaking one at that. The UAE Lottery has confirmed its first-ever Dhs 100 million jackpot winner, marking a milestone moment for the country’s growing raffle and lottery sector.
The historic win came during Saturday night’s 'Lucky Day Draw', when one player, whose identity has not been revealed yet, successfully matched all seven winning numbers, 7, 10, 11, 18, 25 and 29 from the 'day' options and the number 11 from the 'month' option, overcoming staggering odds. To participate in the draw, each participant chooses six numbers from day options and one number from the month option.
It’s the largest lottery prize ever awarded in the UAE since the draw launched in December.
The UAE Lottery announced the news on social media, congratulating the mystery winner, stating "Tonight’s Lucky Day Draw #251018 crowned our very first Dhs 100 Million winner. Congratulations to the Grand Prize winner, and to all our other winners!”. The next draw will be on 1 November.
The Lucky Day Draw takes place every other Saturday (bi-weekly), streamed live on the UAE Lottery’s YouTube channel at 8.30pm. A minimum of Dhs 50 must be spent to join the Lucky Day draw.
