Managing domestic worker paperwork in the UAE just got a lot easier. The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE) has launched a new range of 'Domestic Worker Services' on the Work Bundle platform.
Word Bundle platform is typically used by private businesses to recruit new employees, manage employee visas, issuing and renewing work permits and residency, all through a unified platform. The addition of these new services offer residents a faster, simpler, and fully digital process for handling essential tasks.
Through their ‘Work in UAE’ portal, users can now apply for, renew, or cancel domestic worker residency visas, complete medical examinations, and sign employment contracts electronically, all without visiting multiple government offices.
The move supports the UAE’s Zero Government Bureaucracy Programme, which aims to make services seamless, efficient and user-focused. The new system connects several entities, including the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security (ICP), Emirates Health Services, and Department of Health-Abu Dhabi, to streamline procedures through a single platform.
Major General Suhail Saeed Al Khaili, Director-General of ICP, said, "Adding Domestic Worker Services to the Work Bundle serves a large segment of UAE citizens and residents, enabling them to complete their transactions through a single platform with simple procedures that preserve the rights of all parties involved".
His Excellency Khalil Ibrahim Khoori, Undersecretary of Labour Market and Emiratisation Operations at MoHRE, said, "Launching the new services as part of the Work Bundle follows the notable success the bundle has achieved. It also marks a continuation of the remarkable results achieved with an earlier initiative, where we launched Domestic Worker Services through the ‘Invest in Dubai’ platform and the DubaiNow portal".
