Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) is unveiling a wave of groundbreaking innovations at GITEX GLOBAL 2025, underscoring the emirate’s leadership in shaping the future of urban mobility.
Featuring 11 pioneering projects, the showcase highlights Dubai’s steady progress toward smarter, safer, and more sustainable transport systems powered by artificial intelligence (AI), the Internet of Things, and predictive technologies.
Among the highlights is the 'Trackless Tram', a futuristic system that operates without fixed rails, using AI-driven optical navigation and advanced technology to detect obstacles and move along virtual tracks. It promises a quieter, greener and more adaptable mode of transport that integrates seamlessly with city roads.
The much-anticipated aerial taxi also takes flight at GITEX GLOBAL 2025, marking a milestone in Dubai’s journey toward autonomous air mobility. With vertical take-off and landing capability, it will connect key destinations such as Dubai International Airport and Palm Jumeirah in under ten minutes.
Complementing these are innovations like the 'Smart Vehicle Network', enabling predictive traffic control through AI analytics, and 'AutoCheck 360', a fully automated vehicle inspection system that cuts service times by more than half. RTA’s 'AI Factory' further cements its role as a hub for machine learning and data innovation, driving continuous improvement in smart transport infrastructure.
With initiatives like these, Dubai continues to move confidently toward a truly connected, intelligent transport future.
