NCM Advises Precaution Amid Rainy Conditions

Residents across the UAE are being urged to stay alert as the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) warns of unstable weather conditions, with rainfall expected to continue until Tuesday.

The latest NCM forecasts show heavy rain in parts of Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Al Ain, Fujairah, and Ras Al Khaimah on Sunday, with occasional lightning and thunder in some areas. Strong winds will stir up dust, causing a reduction in visibility.

Authorities have advised the public to avoid driving through flooded areas, stay away from open or elevated areas during lightning, and watch out for strong winds that could scatter debris and reduce visibility.

On Monday, rain is predicted to continue in Fujairah, Ras Al Khaimah, and parts of Abu Dhabi including Al Ain, Sweihan and Al Ruwais, while Dubai will see cloudy conditions. On Tuesday, rain is forecast in Al Ain, Fujairah and Ras Al Khaimah. Fog and mist formation is also predicted on Tuesday morning.

NCM emphasised the importance of following official updates and safety guidelines to prevent accidents and ensure public safety.
