Rainfall Predicted In The UAE Over The Weekend

The UAE is set to experience a wet weekend, with the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) predicting light to moderate rainfall, occasionally heavy in scattered areas, particularly over northern and eastern regions.

Rainfall is predicted in Al Ain, Fujairah, Ras Al Khaimah, and parts of Dubai and Abu Dhabi over the weekend.

The forecast also suggests falling temperatures and the occasional dusty conditions caused by winds.

Following is a breakdown of NCM's weather forecast for this weekend: 

Friday
Partly cloudy and hazy at times, with chances of rainfall over eastern regions including Al Ain and Fujairah. High humidity is also expected.

  • Dubai: Daytime high of 38°C, low of 28°C at night. Humidity reaching 90% overnight.

  • Abu Dhabi: Temperature to reach a daytime high of 38°C, cooling down to 28°C during late hours. Humidity to climb to 90% overnight.

Saturday
Scattered rainfall is likely across Al Ain, Fujairah, and Ras Al Khaimah. Moderate to strong winds to stir up dust, reducing visibility. Temperatures to decrease slightly.

  • Dubai: Temperature to climb to  37°C during the day, and drop to a low of 29°C at night. Humidity around 85% overnight.

  • Abu Dhabi: High of 36°C during the day, and low of 28°C after dark. Humidity near 85% overnight.

Sunday
Heavy rainfall is forecast across Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, Fujairah, and Ras Al Khaimah, with the possibility of thunderstorms in some areas. Residents can also expect cooler conditions.

  • Dubai: Daytime high of 36°C, low of 28°C at night. Humidity at 75% overnight.

  • Abu Dhabi: High of 35°C during the day, and a low of 27°C after sunset. Humidity reaching 80% overnight.
