His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE and Ruler of Abu Dhabi, reviewed the master plan for the new Al Jazira Club Stadium. The upcoming stadium is landmark sports project that will feature a 24,000-seat capacity and serve as a vibrant destination for sports and community gatherings in Zayed City, Abu Dhabi.
The stadium will be the new home of Al Jazira Club, an Emirati professional football club based in Abu Dhabi.
The design allows for future expansion to 30,000 seats, supporting the venue’s goal of hosting year-round events, from major sports competitions to cultural celebrations.
The stadium will offer fully air-conditioned seating, a retractable pitch that slides out of the main arena, and dedicated hospitality zones, ensuring a unique experience for all visitors.
The facility will also include a variety of restaurants, lounges and leisure spaces that remain open beyond event times, positioning the venue as a year-round destination for families and fans alike.
Construction is scheduled to begin in 2026, with completion expected within three years.
