Emirates Airline is taking inclusive travel to new heights with a series of enhancements designed to make flying more accessible and stress-free for everyone. The airline unveiled its new initiatives at the seventh edition of the AccessAbilities Expo in Dubai, reflecting its commitment to innovation and inclusion of People of Determination in air travel.
At the heart of this upgrade is the 'Accessible and Inclusive Travel Hub' on Emirates website, a user-friendly digital space that helps travellers plan their journey according to specific needs. The platform offers detailed information for passengers with mobility, visual, hearing or hidden disabilities, along with guides on accessible airport navigation and onboard support. By using this service, passengers can view and explore different sections based on the disabilities and browse the services offered for different needs.
In the air, Emirates Airline is introducing sensory kits and fidget toys to help calm passengers who are neuro-divergent or experience travel anxiety, available across all cabin classes from November.

A new Business Class mattress design will enhance comfort for passengers with limited mobility, allowing them to remain at ease throughout the flight.

Dubai International Airport’s Terminal 3 has also seen accessibility upgrades, with facial recognition tunnels and self-service kiosks now equipped with voice guidance, Braille features, and adjustable heights to support independent movement. This means that People of Determination can pass through with minimal effort, making the entire process smooth.
Furthermore, from training thousands of staff in Autism awareness to developing wheelchair-accessible chauffeur vehicles, Emirates Airline is reshaping what inclusive flying means.
These initiatives are in line with Dubai Airports' recently announced strategy to make the airports in Dubai the most accessible in the world by 2035. To know more about it, see Connector's story HERE.
