On a social media post today, 6 October, Dubai Police warned drivers to expect significant traffic congestion around the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) area as several major exhibitions draw visitors from across the region. The area is also affected by ongoing development works, which may contribute to slower traffic flow.
Dubai Police has urged motorists to use alternative routes and follow safety guidelines while driving.
The warning comes as DWTC hosts multiple major events, including Najah, the higher education fair running until 7 October, AccessAbilities Expo until 8 October, AgraME on 6 and 7 October and the Forex Expo, also scheduled for 6 and 7 October.
With thousands expected to attend the exhibitions at DWTC, traffic around Sheikh Zayed Road and surrounding areas is likely to be heavy throughout the day.
