The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation has confirmed that Friday, 5 September, will be a paid public holiday for private sector employees in the UAE on the occasion of Prophet Muhammad’s (PBUH) birthday.

The announcement aligns with the earlier announcement by the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources, which confirmed the same date as a holiday for public sector employees.

The holiday, called Mawlid al Nabi, falls on 12 Rabi' al-Awwal in the Islamic calendar.
