If you've been meaning to visit the world-famous Dubai Fountain, now is the time. Saturday, 19 April, is the final opportunity for visitors to enjoy the awe-inspiring water shows before the iconic attraction temporarily shuts down for a major transformation.
Located at the base of the Burj Khalifa in Downtown Dubai, the Dubai Fountain will undergo an extensive five-month restoration project. While the closure was previously planned in May, a recent update by Emaar Properties, confirmed that the official closing date for the visitors would be on 19 April.
The restoration is aimed at enhancing the fountain’s sound, lighting and choreography using advanced technology for a more immersive experience. The reopening is scheduled for October this year.
Until Saturday, visitors can still catch the daily evening fountain shows every 30 minutes from 6pm to 11pm. In addition, limited-time afternoon performances are being held at 1pm and 1.30pm from Saturday to Thursday, and at 2pm and 2.30pm on Fridays.
While the fountain is closed, Downtown Dubai and its many attractions, including The Dubai Mall, Burj Khalifa and Souk Al Bahar, will remain open, welcoming residents and tourists alike throughout the summer.
