Dubai is set to celebrate 53 years of the UAE’s unity with a spectacular line-up of events during Eid Al Etihad from 28 November to 3 December 2024. Organised by the Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE), this year’s celebrations promise an unforgettable experience, with a host of activities ranging from dazzling fireworks displays and cultural showcases to live music, sporting events, and exclusive shopping promotions. Whether you’re a resident or a visitor, Dubai offers something for everyone during this week-long celebration.
The UAE’s colours—black, red, white, and green—will be proudly displayed throughout Dubai during Eid Al Etihad, creating a visually stunning atmosphere across the city. Iconic landmarks, shopping malls, bridges, and streets will be adorned with festive lighting and decorations, including large flag structures at major sites like Dubai World Trade Centre, Global Village, and popular roundabouts such as Clock Tower and Al Khawaneej. Key streets like 2nd December and Al Mustaqbal Street will glow with special lighting installations, bringing a festive spirit to Dubai’s skyline and streets.
Cultural celebrations will be a key feature of Dubai’s Eid Al Etihad festivities, offering visitors a chance to experience the UAE’s rich traditions. Meanwhile, Global Village will present the Hawa Emirati Operetta from 1 to 3 December, with a nightly fireworks display at 9pm. The first show will take place on 1 December at 8pm over Bluewaters Island and The Beach, JBR, followed by a second show in Hatta at 8pm on 2 December. Dubai Festival City Mall will host another spectacular display at 9:10pm on the same day. The grand finale will be on 3 December at 9pm, lighting up the sky over Al Seef, providing a vibrant conclusion to the celebrations.

On 28 November, Jalsat Moments at Coca-Cola Arena will bring together some of the best-loved Arabic artists, including Ayed Yousef, Eida Al Menhali, and Nabeel Shuail, for a memorable musical evening. For fans of acrobatics, Cirque Du Liban’s Pluma Circus will perform at Dubai Festival City Mall from 28 to 30 November, with an exciting show featuring trapeze artists and thrilling stunts.

Egyptian pop legend Amr Diab will perform at Dubai Harbour on 30 November, while British band The Streets will bring their iconic hits to Coca-Cola Arena on the same evening. The AKS Dance Festival at Zero Gravity (30 November and 1 December) will feature a high-energy mix of Bollywood beats and Indo-tech sounds from top DJs.
For those who enjoy the latest international music, Soul Beach will host Sundance on 30 November and 1 December, with performances by Flo Rida, Sean Kingston, and Jason Derulo, as well as runway shows from leading fashion designers.
Dubai’s Eid Al Etihad celebrations offer plenty of family-friendly activities, including Modesh appearances at various malls across the city. Families can meet the beloved mascot on 1 December at locations such as Dubai Festival City Mall, City Centre Mirdif, and City Centre Shindagha, adding to the festive atmosphere with photo opportunities and entertainment for children.
Shoppers will also enjoy fantastic retail promotions throughout Dubai during the celebrations. From 29 November to 2 December, Dubai’s top malls will offer discounts on fashion, jewellery, perfumes, and homeware, making it the perfect time to pick up gifts or treat yourself. On 30 November, Al Maktoum Stadium will host the Kings Cup Dubai, featuring football legends such as John Terry, Roberto Carlos, and Paul Pogba. For those who prefer a more active way to celebrate, the Skechers Performance UAE National Day Run on 1 December at The Track, Meydan Golf, offers runners a choice of distances ranging from 3km to 21km, all while taking in views of Dubai’s stunning skyline.
