His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Approves A New Federal Law On Traffic And Road Safety

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, chaired the UAE Cabinet meeting at Qasr Al Watan, Abu Dhabi. During the meeting, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed approved the new federal law on traffic and road safety, which includes significant amendments. These amendments allow more modern technologies, including self-driving cars, electric cars, and other forms of personal transportation, to be registered on Dubai roads.

The new federal law aims to keep pace with the rapid development in the transport industry worldwide. The law also supports the expansion of self-driving vehicles and electric cars and aims to enhance the UAE's road network by leveraging technological advancements.
