UAE Aid Shipment Reaches Gaza

Her Excellency Reem bint Ebrahim Al Hashimy, Minister of State for International Cooperation, has announced the delivery of food assistance for the residents of Gaza, specifically targeted for the northern Gaza Strip. This shipment, transported through the maritime route from Larnaca in the Republic of Cyprus, was made possible through collaborative efforts between the UAE, the US, Cyprus, the United Nations, and various international contributors such as the United Kingdom and the European Union.

The shipment, which consisted of 252 tonnes of humanitarian relief supplies for the people of Gaza, was successfully unloaded at the United Nations warehouses in Deir al-Balah, awaiting distribution to the Palestinians who are in most urgent need.

Her Excellency Reem bint Ebrahim Al Hashimy reaffirmed the UAE's unwavering commitment to the Palestinian people by its longstanding dedication and the directives of its wise leadership. The UAE remains dedicated to providing crucial humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip, having delivered over 32,000 tonnes of essential supplies, including food, medical items, and relief materials. This aid has been transported through 260 flights, 49 airdrops, and 1,243 trucks. 

UAE Floating Hospital Conducts Surgeries For Injured Palestinians

Besides the shipment, the UAE floating hospital is conducting surgeries for injured Palestinians in 'Operation Chivalrous Knight 3'.

The UAE floating hospital in the Egyptian city of Al Arish has conducted several specialised surgeries for Palestinian patients as part of 'Operation Chivalrous Knight 3'. 

Dr. Ahmed Mubarak, the hospital's director, reported that the medical team performed five delicate surgeries in the past two days. These surgeries, unique for field hospitals, treated patients with complex compound fractures using advanced titanium spinal nails. The procedures demanded expertise and cutting-edge medical technologies.

Since its launch, the hospital has treated 180 cases and performed 430 surgeries, averaging five surgeries daily. A multidisciplinary medical team provides care in various specialities. 

The hospital, overseen by Emirati medical experts, boasts 120 beds and additional facilities for patient companions, operating rooms, intensive care units, outpatient clinics, X-ray, pharmacy, and laboratory services. These facilities align with international standards, ensuring comprehensive care for patients in need. The hospital's commitment to excellence underscores the UAE's dedication to supporting Palestinians during times of crisis.
