Dubai continues its streak of breaking records, this time with Skydive Dubai. The renowned skydiving destination has secured two impressive national skydiving records for the UAE within the last three weeks. The first record, a Head-Up Formation, was achieved on 28 April, followed by the second, a Head-Down Formation, on 14 May 2024.
Skydivers from the UAE were central to both record-breaking formations. However, the inclusive spirit of skydiving extended internationally, with participants hailing from Chile, Turkey, Italy, Brazil, Russia, and Kuwait, all coming together to make history. This highlights the significant role of Skydive Dubai in enhancing the global recognition and appeal of the sport.
Led by Skydive Dubai's experienced team, the breathtaking Head-Up Formation featured 31 skydivers, pushing the limits of aerial sports at the Desert Campus. After eight attempts, this remarkable achievement highlighted the group's remarkable skill and teamwork.
Following their success in 2022, Skydive Dubai made history once more with a record-breaking Head-Down Formation involving 46 participants, also at the Desert Campus. Facilitated by Skydive Dubai’s Flight School team, this record was achieved after eight attempts.
Both record attempts involved skydivers exiting the aircraft at a staggering 18,000 feet, nearly 5,000 feet higher than the altitude for tandem jumps. Due to this high altitude, each participant received supplemental oxygen during the ascent.
