Dubai and Abu Dhabi are renowned for their towering skyscrapers and luxurious attractions, but now they've also earned spots on the list of the best global cities to work in. According to a report by Boston Consulting Group, Dubai secured the third spot and Abu Dhabi the fourth among the top 10 cities worldwide for best cities to work in. They are the only cities in the Middle East to achieve this recognition.
The ranking was released as part of BCG’s Dream Destinations and Mobility Trends report and examined the work preferences of 150,000 individuals across 188 countries from October to December 2023. London, UK, maintained its top rank as the most preferred city for global talent relocation, with Amsterdam in the Netherlands following closely behind. Meanwhile, New York, USA, secured the fifth position in the rankings, as per the report findings.
The report highlighted key reasons driving professionals to consider relocation, noting 'financial and economic reasons', 'career progression', and 'better overall quality of life' as primary factors. English proficiency emerged as a crucial measure for selecting a work destination, alongside competitive salary packages, inclusive culture, and seamless relocation processes.
