RTA Completes Major Road Upgrades Across Dubai

Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has finished building internal roads and installing street lights in Margham, Lehbab, Al Lesaili, and Hatta. The project covered a total distance of 35km, with 18km dedicated to constructing new roads and 17km for adding lighting poles to existing streets. RTA has also begun extra road construction in Lehbab and Al Lesaili to better serve residents' needs.

His Excellency Mattar Al Tayer, Director-General, Chairman of the Board of Executive Directors, RTA, said, "The internal roads project address the needs of demographic growth and urban expansion of residential areas as well as Dubai countryside and rural areas to foster the well-being of residents of the emirate. The project reflects RTA’s commitment to upgrading the infrastructure of roads, street lights, and rainwater drainage systems in residential communities."

Area-wise Developments 

Margham: The internal roads project in Margham involves building roads spanning 5km along Dubai-Al Ain Road, close to Skydive Dubai. The project includes constructing road surfaces, setting up drainage systems for rainwater, and installing street lights. It aims to benefit over 1,100 residents in the area.

Lehbab: The internal roads project in Lehbab involves paving roads for a distance of 4km, along with setting up rainwater drainage systems and street lights. Additionally, the project includes lighting improvements for existing streets extending 2km along the Dubai-Hatta Road near Lehbab Camels' Racetrack. This initiative benefits over 3,000 residents and enhances connectivity between the residential district under construction and the road network.

Al Lesaili: The internal road project in Al Lesaili covers a distance of 7km. It involves installing street lights along the existing roads at Saih Assalam near the Last Exit and Al Qudra Lakes, totalling 7km. This project benefits approximately 2,900 residents and enhances the entry and exit points of the area.

Hatta: The project focuses on building roads spanning 2km in Suhaila, Hatta. It also includes infrastructure enhancements such as rainwater drainage systems and street lights. Serving approximately 6,000 residents, the initiative improves entry and exit points and connectivity for the newly developed residential community with the road network.
