To ease traffic congestion during the Holy Month of Ramadan, Abu Dhabi Police have imposed new regulations on heavy vehicles. Trucks and large buses transporting 50 or more workers are prohibited during peak hours from 8am to 10am and 2pm to 4pm in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain. The news was announced by Abu Dhabi Police on its social media channels.
Brigadier General Mahmoud Yousef Al Balushi, Director of the Traffic and Patrols Directorate, highlighted increased monitoring by traffic patrols and utilisation of smart traffic systems for enforcement. These measures aim to ensure smoother traffic flow across all roads during the Holy Month.
