Federal government employees have been informed to work remotely on Monday 12 February, in light of the current weather conditions which are expected to continue into the start of the week. As announced by the UAE Cabinet, the announcement applies to all federal government employees except those in positions that require a physical presence in their workplace.
The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation has asked companies in the private sector to offer flexible working for employees where possible across the UAE.
Public schools will conduct lessons remotely and in Dubai, the Knowledge and Human Development Authority has asked private schools, nurseries and universities to offer remote learning.
Parts of the UAE are currently experiencing heavy rain which us expected to continue through to Tuesday 13 February, along with strong winds and the possibility of thunder and lightening in some areas.
