The Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, known as one of the world's most stunning mosques, draws millions of global tourists. In a bid to offer excellent services and encourage cultural exchange, the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque Centre (SZGMC) has introduced 'Sura' evening cultural tours within the mosque's premises. These tours allows visitors to explore the mosque beyond regular visiting hours, specifically from 10pm to 9am.
What Does The Sura Tour Offer
The primary aim of the 'Sura' evening cultural tours is to house visitors from Abu Dhabi and other parts of the country who have limited time due to international transit flights. The centre acknowledges these time constraints and has extended visiting hours to suit their schedules.
The 'Sura' evening cultural tours lasts 40 minutes and are facilitated through the El Delleel multimedia audio guide device. This device utilises innovative virtual reality technologies to offer participants an exceptional cultural experience.
The tour includes interactive 3D maps displaying elements of the mosque in real-time along the route, and there's a set of interactive games and activities designed specifically for children.
The guide provides content in 14 international languages, ensuring comprehensive accessibility for people with disabilities, including the blind and deaf.
This initiative aims to enable everyone to learn about the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque Centre's significant role in promoting a tolerant Islamic culture and fostering understanding with various cultures worldwide.
You can book this tour on SZGMC's website.
