The new state of the art Terminal A at Abu Dhabi International Airport (AUH) is now the primary terminal for fights arriving and departing Abu Dhabi, with all 28 airlines now operating from there.
Terminal A opened earlier this month, and in the first 2 weeks 1,557 flights were operated, with that number set to reach 7,669 by the end of November, and 12,220 throughout December and 2.29 million passengers .
The new terminal has the capacity for up to 45 million passengers each year and can accommodate 79 planes at any given time.
The terminal features 35,000 square metres of shopping and dining space, and includes biometric technology to streamline the screening and boarding process.
