Etihad Airways is marking two decades of aviation as it takes part in the 18th edition of the Dubai Airshow, currebtly running until 17 November at Dubai World Central (DWC). In honour of its 20th anniversary, Etihad Airways is showcasing its latest addition, the Boeing 787-9, one of four new Dreamliners incorporated into the fleet, following the recent introduction of a 787-10 in October.
The interior of Etihad's new 787 Dreamliner cabin introduces additional improvements to its cabins. The aircraft showcases Etihad's latest cabin design, comprising 32 business class seats and 271 economy seats. Both classes provide top-notch experiences, enhancing the overall journey for Etihad's passengers.

Etihad's business cabin offers a comfortable and expansive setting in the airline's distinctive style, featuring a customised edition of the Elements seat produced by Collins. Etihad takes pride in being the global pioneer in introducing the Elements seat on the Boeing 787. These innovative seats ensure guests enjoy ample space and comfort, enhanced by the privacy of a suite door and heightened suite dimensions.
All 32 business seats provide direct aisle access and can recline into a fully flat 78-inch bed. The seats are equipped with a 17.3-inch 4K TV screen, bluetooth headphone pairing, wireless charging, multiple charging ports, and ample storage.
Economy Class Of Etihad's New 787 Dreamliner
In the economy class of the latest 787, the seats are lighter, enhancing fuel efficiency compared to the existing fleet. The configuration includes 244 standard seats and 27 Economy Space seats, providing an extra four inches of legroom. Apart from delivering exceptional comfort, the slimmer profile of the seats creates a heightened sense of space for every passenger.
Latest Additions
The new 787 Dreamliner features advanced in-flight entertainment technology by Safran, including Rave Ultra 13.3-inch 4K touch-screen monitors. Passengers also have the option to connect their personal phones and tablets to the screen for use as a remote control.
Lastly, the aeroplane is equipped with a new Viasat connectivity solution using Ka-band technology, providing high-speed Wi-Fi with streaming capabilities on board. Additionally, passengers can enjoy Live TV, including news and sports channels.
