If you have plans to travel with Emirates shortly, you're in for some fantastic news. Dubai based Emirates has launched its in-flight meal pre-ordering service on 92 routes. This expansion includes 30 new routes, such as Riyadh, Jeddah, Delhi, Mumbai, and Kuala Lumpur, where passengers can now take advantage of this service. To date, over 10,000 pre-orders have been fulfilled on over 3,000 flights, and Emirates customers are currently placing more than 600 meal pre-orders each day.
Emirates' latest service allows Business Class travellers to make their meal selections between 14 days and 24 hours before their flight takes off. It not only guarantees their preferred meal choice every time but also contributes to the reduction of food wastage.
Emirates has revealed the most favoured pre-ordered dishes to date. Among these popular selections are the pan-fried beef tenderloin accompanied by thyme jus, roasted new potato wedges, and steamed asparagus. Additionally, the grilled beef tenderloin with a delectable creamy wild mushroom sauce, Kenya beans, and potato gratin has been well-received.
For breakfast, the cheddar cheese and chive omelette, served with creamy spinach, sautéed Portobello mushroom, and roasted herbed tomato, has proven to be a top choice among travellers.
To guarantee an exceptional fine dining experience for Emirates passengers during their flight, travellers are encouraged to explore the onboard menu available on the Emirates website or app. They can make their choices from a variety of regionally inspired dishes that incorporate locally sourced ingredients, and this can be done as early as two weeks before their scheduled flight.
While aboard the aircraft, the cabin crew will use Apple devices to review the preselected meal choices and serve passengers with their preferred dishes. The pre-ordering meal service is enhanced by website and app check-in, the convenience of digital boarding passes, itinerary management, access to digital in-flight menus, quick enrolment in Skywards for immediate onboard free Wi-Fi messaging, and the ability to curate an ice in-flight entertainment playlist in advance of the flight.
