The Integrated Transport Centre (ITC) under the Abu Dhabi Department of Municipalities and Transport has introduced the initial stage of the Automated Rapid Transport (ART) on Abu Dhabi Island. This pilot phase covers 25 stations, spanning approximately 27km in route, indicating a promising era of technological advancements in the transportation industry.
In this trial phase, the service is operating from Friday to Sunday from Al Reem Mall to Marina Mall. The Abu Dhabi ART service stops at Marina Square, The Galleria Al Maryah Island, Sheikh Hazza Bin Sultan Mosque, City Seasons Al Hamra Hotel, Lifeline Hospital, NMC Specialty Hospital, Qasr Al Hosn, Sheraton Khalidiya Hotel, Khalidiya Park, Sheikha Fatima Park, Corniche and Marina Mall.
The schedule and real-time tracking for this service can be accessed through the Darbi app, provided by the Integrated Transport Centre (ITC) within the Abu Dhabi Department of Municipalities and Transport. To utilise the free service, passengers are required to use the app and scan the QR code on the vehicle.
