Dubai is hosting its first-ever Dubai Electric Scooter Cup in the UAE. The Electric Scooter Cup will be held in association with the Federation for Micromobility and Sport and the Dubai Sports Council. The event will be an e-scooter racing and micromobility potentiality. In line with the Year of Sustainability in the UAE, the Dubai Electric Scooter Cup will take place on 16 December 2023.
The one-day event will bring together the world's best riders to race on the fastest electric scooters around the streets of Dubai. Sixteen top male and female riders will compete in a knockout-style race at speeds of over 100kph for the title of the first Dubai Electric Scooter Cup Champion.
On this, Saeed Mohammed Hareb, Secretary General Dubai Sports Council, said, “The Dubai Electric Scooter Cup will be a showcase for cutting-edge e-technology and the pinnacle of e-scooter racing. We are delighted to work with the Federation on the safety and integration challenges of the micromobility sector. We welcome international teams and riders to race on our down town streets and shine a spotlight on this evolution.”
As for the equipment, it will be the RS-Zero DXB edition, the fastest electric race scooter in the world, designed specifically for the Dubai Electric Scooter Cup. With a top speed of over 140kph, it is state-of-the-art in its technology, has a lean angle of over 58 degrees and is designed to be the ultimate in elite performance.
From Dubai Run to the scooter cup, there's a lot of sport to look forward to this winter.
