Dubai's budget carrier, FlyDubai, records an exceptional summer by carrying over four million passengers between June and mid-September 2023. It has added two seasonal summer routes, Corfu in Greece and Olbia in Sardinia, offering passengers more options for summer travel in 2023. Commenting on the success of the airline's summer record, Ghaith Al Ghaith, Chief Executive Officer at FlyDubai, said, “We continue to create free trade and tourism flows by offering the right product at the right time, making travel accessible to new and previously underserved markets. By doing so, we have enabled more than four million passengers to travel this summer via Dubai’s aviation hub.”
At present, FlyDubai operates a fleet of 78 Boeing 737s serving its expanding network. The airline has recently announced the launch of operations to three new destinations.
