UAE's Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP), in collaboration with the nation's health authorities, has announced a new update on the Al Hosn app. Al Hosn app has launched a new feature, "Protection Vaccinations," for children under 18. The upgrade aims to further the goals of the National Immunisation Program and will play a key role in achieving a higher percentage of child vaccination coverage nationwide.
The new feature makes it easy for parents and doctors to track their child's vaccination history and due dates. With this feature, parents can generate an immunisation certificate for travel or other situations when vaccination is required. Furthermore, they can share their vaccination history with their doctor with one click.
It helps parents track the vaccination status and allows them to access the records conveniently. The user-friendly interface ensures seamless usage for all individuals, and the update guarantees access to accurate and reliable information.
On this, Dr Hussain Al Rand, Assistant Undersecretary for Public Health at (MoHAP) said, “Recognising vaccinations as one of the most efficient preventative measures against infectious diseases, the UAE government is committed to leveraging smart technologies and applications to create varied communication avenues with community members in order to ensure optimal health coverage and sustain high vaccination rates. Vaccinations play a vital role in safeguarding children's health and reinforcing community immunity.”
