Two hikers that were trapped in Wadi Qada'a in Ras Al Khaimah were rescued by Police authorities.
Two citizens, aged 16 and 17 years old were on a hike when one of them was exhausted, due to high temperatures.
After a report was received, Ras Al Khaimah Police began a search operation to track the two hikers. Once located, first aid was given to the hikers, before they were transferred to Saqr Hospital, to run further medical tests.
Major Abdullah Al Saman, Head of the Ras Al Khaimah Police Search and Rescue Department, advised individuals to avoid hiking in rough terrain during the summer months, and to carry sufficient water to prevent heat exhaustion.
