Baseball, the popular American sport, has found a new place in the UAE, with the launch of Baseball United, the first professional baseball league in the Middle East.
Two new franchises have been announced, Dubai Wolves and Abu Dhabi Falcons, joining the previously announced team lineup of Mumbai Cobras and Karachi Monarchs.
The league will host four matches, where the teams will play one another, from 10 to 12 November at Dubai International Stadium.
As cricket is a popular sport in the Middle East and South Asia, Baseball United aims to make professional baseball the next great sport in the region.
