The Department of Municipalities and Transport (DMT) in Abu Dhabi has announced that 85.5 million public transport trips were taken, from January to June 2023.
An increase of 23% was noticed during the first half of 2023, compared to the same period in 2022.
The most used mode of transport was taxi, with 43.7 million trips made through the service, followed by 39.4 million passenger journeys on public buses.
Around 2.4 million trips were taken by shared transport including rental cars.
