Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced that 337 million journeys across public transport were made during the first half of 2023.
The use of public transport has increased from 304.6 million trips during the first half of 2022 to 337 million journeys within the same time period in 2023.
The various modes of transport include Dubai Metro, Dubai Tram, public buses, abras, ferries, water taxis, water buses, smart car rental, Bus-On-Demand, and taxis. The daily average for journeys taken through various public transport was reported at 1.86 million.
The most used modes of transport were Dubai Metro with 123.4 million passenger journeys, and 96.2 million on taxis.
March was the busiest month with over 60 million trips made on public transport.
