Dubai Sports Council along with leading sports service provider in the UAE for offering sports education to children ESM, are gearing up to host the 4th edition of the Dubai Schools Games.
The sports tournament is one of the biggest programmes for students and is the preliminary step for scouting and developing sports talents, before moving to join clubs. Open to all schools for free, the tournament has multiple categories for students aged 9 to 19 years old, with representatives from Dubai clubs scouting students with unique talents and potential.
The tournament will run in three terms, with Term 1 beginning from 6 October until 29 November, Term 2 from 15 January to 30 March, and Term 3 running from 20 April to 26 June.
The tournament also raises awareness of the importance of sports and physical activity to maintain a healthy lifestyle.
All participants will have a sports file created, that can then be used when joining a sports club or moving to university.
To prepare, meetings were held to set the rules and regulations for the tournament.
The 3rd edition of the Dubai Schools Games saw over 5,000 students participate from 220 government and private schools. The students participated in 22 competitions including cycling, badminton, padel tennis and gymnastics.
