During the first half of 2023, Dubai Customs handled over 22.13 million items of luggage.

The efficient service assisted passengers in passing through the airport, without any delays.

With the help of advanced devices and inspectors assessing the body language of passengers, the smuggling of prohibited items was prevented.

Dubai Customs also launched a series of initiatives that assisted in enhancing the passenger's experience.

The Pre-Export initiative, currently in its pilot phase, benefitted 382 individuals by offering traders and cargo carriers of valuable goods the option to re-export transactions and storage shipments in advance before departure.

Dubai Customs also offers Self-Handling services, where customs documents are delivered to various companies, through QR code boxes. Over 3,600 people have benefitted from the service and is available around the clock.

The iDeclare program also assisted passengers coming into Dubai to make early declarations on their luggage before arriving in the country, reducing the customs procedure time to less than 4 minutes.
