Uber has revealed its annual Lost and Found Index, where Dubai has been listed as one of the most 'forgetful cities' in the world for 2023.
Passengers using Uber services in Dubai often leave their belongings in the vehicles, with clothes, phones, cameras and luggage, the items frequently left behind.
Fridays are the most common days when items are forgotten, with the most belongings found on 23 February.
Some of the craziest items found in Dubai were a guitar, Nintendo Switch with a Super Mario cover, a Cartier box, a scooter and a Burberry shawl.
Passengers that have forgotten items in an Uber can visit the app and tap on 'Your Trips', and find the journey when their belongings were lost. Following that, the person should click on 'Find Lost Item' and then 'Contact Driver To Find Lost Item', where individuals need to give a number to be contacted, in order to receive a call back from the driver.
A time and location can then be arranged to retrieve the item, however, if not connected, the passenger can send a detailed voicemail and the way to be contacted, or can visit the webchat on the app to collect their lost belongings.
