The Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology (MoIAT) has launched a new quality mark for products manufactured in the UAE.
Called 'Made in the Emirates', the quality mark aims to increase the confidence in consumers when buying products.
The mark will also ensure that the products comply with the quality and safety standards set in the UAE.
UAE brands can apply for the quality mark via the MoIAT website, for Dhs 100 for a three-year licence.
Companies in the UAE that have received the quality mark include Saba Sanabel, the agricultural and livestock production establishment in Sharjah, Yas Electronic Systems for traffic management technologies, Euro Pack Industries for biodegradable plastics, and Rubber Plas Tech LLC for food contact materials.
