Miramar Al Aqah Beach Resort in Fujairah has witnessed sea turtles nesting in the area.
The Fujairah Environment Authority, along with the Fujairah Research Centre and Jumeirah Group’s Dubai Turtle Rehabilitation Project, have enclosed the area to keep the turtles safe and protected and to provide the right care.
The hatching of the sea turtles will take place within the next 50 to 60 days.
The UAE is home to five of seven of the world's sea turtle species, with the Hawksbill Turtles regularly found nesting in the country.
The public is advised to report any sightings of sea turtles nesting along the UAE coast, to take measures to protect them.
