Bank Donates To Help Provide Care To Patients In Need

Dubai Islamic Bank has donated Dhs 7 million to Al Jalila Foundation to help fund medical care for people in need.

The donation was made to the programme by the foundation called 'A'awen', which caters to helping patients that have life-threatening illnesses like cancer.

With the money donated by Dubai Islamic Bank, patients in Dubai that do not have the financial capacity to fund their treatment will be provided with the right treatment to help tackle their illnesses.

Since January, Al Jalila Foundation has helped in providing care to 1,505 patients from 54 nationalities, including 102 children, with Dhs 52 million given for patients to receive medical attention required.

Dr Amer Al Zarooni, CEO of the Al Jalila Foundation said, "As a philanthropic healthcare organisation dedicated to transforming lives, the health and well-being of patients is a top priority at Al Jalila Foundation. Philanthropic support is integral to achieving our mission, and we are immensely grateful to Dubai Islamic Bank for their generosity and support to our A’awen programme that gives hope to patients. The programme serves as a testament to Dubai Academic Health Corporation's commitment to putting patients first, ensuring that patients can concentrate on their healing journey without financial concerns by providing comprehensive treatment and support."
