Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced that the floating bridge with remain closed.
A date for when the bridge will reopen has not yet been confirmed.
The closure was announced for maintenance works, and has been extended due to technical tests done to ensure the efficiency of maintenance work.
Drivers can use alternative routes like Al Maktoum Bridge, Infinity Bridge, Al Garhoud Bridge and Al Mamzar, while travelling from Al Ittihad Street.
Main roads, including Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road and Emirates Road can also be used.
