New Traffic Fines In The UAE

The Ministry of Interior in the UAE (MOI) has announced new fines to ensure traffic safety during adverse weather conditions.

Drivers that enter valleys overflowing with water when it is raining will have their car impounded for 60 days, have to pay a fine of Dhs 2,000 and will receive 23 black points.

A Dhs 1,000 fine and 6 black points will be given to cars that gather near valleys, floods and dams during the rainy weather.

Cars found blocking authorities regulating traffic or preventing ambulances or rescue teams during emergencies, disasters, rain and valleys flowing with rainwater will receive a Dhs 1,000 fine, 4 black points and have their car impounded for 60 days.
