The world's largest artificial reef project, called Dubai Reefs, is coming to Dubai.
Over 1 billion corals and 100 million mangrove trees will find a new home at Dubai Reefs.
The project will be a floating living lab and will be powered entirely by 100% renewable energy from solar, ocean wave and hydropower.
With the marine centre at the forefront of the new development, research will be conducted on ways to protect the Dubai coastline.
The new development will also be home to marine sea creatures and offer a variety of activities for visitors to enjoy, including forest bathing, which is a Japanese practice that uses nature as a form of therapy.
URB, the developers of sustainable cities, are behind the project and will be one of the largest ocean restoration projects and aims to transform Dubai into an eco-destination, where city and marine life coexist as one.
