The UAE has sent three aid planes carrying medical and food supplies for Sudan.
Two planes arrived at Port Sudan Airport with 100 tonnes of medical supplies sent to treat injuries and perform surgeries.
The supplies included medicines for trauma and emergency wounds, antibiotics, non-steroidal medicines, anti-inflammatories, medical wound dressings, surgical tape and endoscopy kits.
The third plane, which arrived in Chad, which is situated close to Sudan, received 15 tonnes of food aid for the displaced refugees that have evacuated to Chad from Sudan.
Since the conflict in Sudan began on 15 April, the UAE was one of the first countries to deliver aid to Sudan, with over 240 tonnes of medical and food supplies and aid sent as well as refugees being evacuated to the UAE.
