Here are four easy ways you can make the most of the avocado at your home! Avocados are packed with disease-fighting antioxidants and other healthy benefits!
Ava-smoothie!

Base
- whole avocado
- ½ - 1 cup almond or dairy milk.
- 1 tbsp honey or agave syrup (optional sweetener)
Additional options
- Add a whole banana (the riper the sweeter), or try a frozen browned banana.
- Mango also goes well with this recipe!
- Handful of spinach (for a nutrient boost you’ll barely taste!)
- 1 tbsp of chia seeds for antioxidants
- 1 tbsp of flax seed for a fatty acid and fibre boost.
- 1 scoop of protein powder (vanilla) for a post workout boost!
Breakfast avo & eggs on toast

Base
- Your choice of bread - wholegrain, sourdough, rye, pumpernickel, or gluten-free, toasted (two slices).
- 2 poached, fried or soft boiled eggs (runny, or to preference).
Avocado spread
Combine the following ingredients in a bowl and mash with the back of a fork, then spread onto toast.
- ½ avocado
- 1 tbsp chopped parsley
- lemon juice (1 tsp or to taste)
- sea salt and coarse black pepper to taste.
- 1 tbsp of room temperature butter or olive oil (try a garlic, chili or basil infused one for an extra kick)
Sides
- Cut cherry tomatoes into halves, sprinkle with cracked salt and black pepper, drizzle with a tsp of olive oil and microwave for 30-60 seconds until soft and sizzling.
- Also goes great with a couple of strips of your favourite bacon for a more indulgent breakfast.
Easy peasy guacamole

- Scoop out 5 large avocados (slightly soft to press and black in colour) into a bowl.
- Immediately add the juice of 1-2 limes or small lemons (to taste) to prevent browning, and mash with the back of a fork.
Gently combine the following into the mixture:
- 1 diced medium red or white onion
- ¾ cup fresh chopped coriander
- 1 large tomato, diced (not overly ripe)
- freshly ground black pepper and salt to taste
- 1 clove of garlic (pressed/ minced)
Optional
- Finely chopped jalapeno peppers, a couple of drops of hot sauce, paprika or dried chilli flakes for a spicy kick!
Serve as a side or with your favourite tortilla chips!
Creamy avocado garlic dressing
- ½ avocado

- ¼ cup greek yoghurt
- ¼ tsp garlic powder (or one small fresh clove pressed)
- salt & pepper to taste
- dash of extra virgin olive oil
- squeeze of lime juice
Optional
- Replace or half-half the greek yoghurt with sour cream. Add a hint of spice with a pinch of chilli powder, paprika or cayenne pepper.
Mash avocados thoroughly with a fork or puree and combine the rest of the ingredients until smooth.
