This season’s brow trends

Brow trends are changing continually every year. Here is a closer look at this season’s trends you should know about:

The bleached, ‘barely there’ brows:

Redrawing and making a statement around the eye area seems to be on trend.

For the brows, it is clear to see that ‘barely there’ is a big catch with Givenchy focusing on blanching out the brows and adding super dark eye shadow to the eyes emphasising this area. Marc Jacobs runway saw all the brows erased on their models while Kenzo bleached out the brows and added white graphic eyeliner to add dynamic to their looks.

The bushy brow:

One of the big beauty looks this season is the bushy brow and the bushier the better, ‘not too girly’ is the way forward. In brow terms, the messier the better.

The textured brow:

The textured brow is taking over against the perfectly groomed and defined brow and replacing it with a more messy/textured style. The more relaxed arches and straighter brow has been noticed throughout catwalks and red carpets this season.

Don’t have much eyebrow hair? Then don’t worry, you can create a ‘fluffy’ and textured brow by adding tiny hairstrokes to the brows in the form of microblade/semi permanent make-up which is so natural you can’t tell the difference.

Most popular trends for brow treatments:

Thin brows seem to have become a thing of the past (hooray). Shaving off the eyebrow and penciling a thin line was actually acceptable back in the 80s, however it is certainly not now. If you were one of the unlucky ones to remove your hair and they haven’t really grown back, don’t panic, help is here!

The most popular treatment to create fuller looking brows, fill in any gaps and give you a longer lasting finish is semi permanent make-up and microblading, both of which achieve the same results using different techniques.

These treatments both use micro needles and natural pigment onto the skin to create soft, natural hair strokes, the treatment has minimal pain and the results last up to 12/18 months where the colour fades over time. A re-touch once a year helps to keep the colour of the brows looking fresh.
