Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge (ADEK) is celebrating UAE Reading Month by bringing back Abu Dhabi Reads during the month of March.
The campaign will host two main activations with the first one held from 4 till 6 March with activities held at Umm Al Emarat Park.
The event will feature creative writing, bookmark design, language workshops, storytelling training, public speaking puppet shows as well as interactive storytelling sessions by Abu Dhabi based authors.
The programme will be open from 5pm to 9pm on Friday and Saturday and from 5pm to 8pm on Sunday.
The campaign is held every March in an effort to raise awareness of the importance of integrating reading into our daily life.
The second activation will feature the Library on Wheels which will go around Abu Dhabi schools where students can exchange their books and in turn read more books.
On weekends and midweek afternoons, the mobile library will move to open-air pop-ups where visitors can read as well as attend storytelling sessions.
